Interoperability and Integration of Test Tools in the SAP Environment<\/h3>\n

When testing business processes in SAP systems, it is sometimes necessary to use multiple test support tools. Choosing the right solutions for test management, automation, and integration, is a significant challenge that organisations should be aware of.
So, what combination of tools should be chosen, and how does one combine them so that they deliver the expected benefits? These include the optimisation of test time, the reduction of business team workloads, and organising the scope of tests?<\/p>\n

Emphasis on Automation<\/h3>\n

It is now quite difficult to visualise an IT project plan that does not involve a considerable element of testing. Regardless of the methodology adopted, the testing process is an important part of each project. Within the SAP environment, the proprietary Accelerated SAP Methodology places a much greater emphasis on testing.
There is a major trend in moving manual testing and business teams to automated test environments. The automation of regression tests allows organisations to increase the volume of tests performed, lower the costs of testing (per one test case), and allows companies to test a larger area of the project with the same resources.
But automated testing does require the use of appropriate tools that are bespoke to the technology and challenges of the organisation that is using them.<\/p>\n

Test Automation Tools<\/h3>\n

The market offers a variety of tools to automate such testing processes. SAP\u2019s TAO (Test Acceleration and Optimisation) is the preferred domain SAP solution. As part of the SAP Solution Manager, it offers the possibility of using the SAP Solution Manager Test Suite platform (CBTA \/ eCATT scripts).
In addition to proprietary solutions, because of its partnership with Tricentis, can offer the SAP Enterprise Continuous Testing by Tricentis tool. Tricentis Tosca is the dedicated version for SAP.
In the case of typical integration tests, organisations can choose the Int4 IFTT tool, about which there is more in the link to this article<\/p>\n

The Versatility of Test Automation Tools<\/h3>\n

The choice of test tools will usually depend on how flexibly they can be used in projects that are typical of the organisation, which relates to the scope of the functionalities. An example is the Int4 IFTT which is the only test tool that is dedicated to SAP integration testing.

From the wide range of available functions, the possibility of using its operation in conjunction with other tools that are used by the organisation is just as important. This is especially true when testing projects in a decentralised IT architecture.
Int4 IFTT, in addition to the SAP Process Orchestration and SAP Cloud Platform Integration products, also offers full support for the Dell Boomi integration. Another tool with a versatile application is the SAP Enterprise Continuous Testing by Tricentis, without the need to code automatic test scripts. It allows organisations to automate the testing of business processes, and all SAP products, without the limitations of UI technology (SAPUI5, Fiori, SAP GUI, SuccessFactors, Ariba).
When using Tricentis Test Automation, testers can take advantage of automatic testing of SAP products based on API (RFC, Rest, oData). The Tosca Tricentis software offers support for the most popular technologies such as SAP, ORACLE, JAVA, SOA, and HTML. Testing Strategy “shift-left” Within an Efficient CI \/ CD pipeline<\/h3>\n

Regardless of the advantages creating a framework of test tools tailored to the requirements of the organisation is essential requirement. This is especially important in IT projects whose requirements are changes or modifications to SAP systems. So, it is worth looking at solutions that are recommended by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest advantages of the SAP Enterprise Continuous Testing is the support and the possibility of integration with the CI\/CD pipeline. Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI\/CD) is a practice where teams produce software in short cycles, providing early feedback and thereby reducing risk.<\/p>\n

The CI\/CD process is at the heart of large-scale digital transformation projects. It drives innovation, enabling organisations to provide users with new functionalities faster.
