‘Integration of Tools and Processes in the Software Lifecycle’ Conference was held at the Radisson Blu Sobieski Hotel, in Warsaw, on 29th April. The event was organised by Soflab Technology – a leader on the Polish market for testing and quality assurance of IT systems – as well as its partners, Neotys (France) and Inflectra Corporation (United States). The guests included over 60 representatives of IT departments, from companies in various industries, such as telecommunications, banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals and IT.
Thanks to Poland’s growing awareness of the need to use proven solutions, there is a huge interest among specialists from major companies in different sectors. Numerous failures of IT systems and hacking attacks, which we often learn about from the media, cause enormous financial losses, resulting in a negative impact on corporate image for an increasing number of Polish companies and institutions. Their challenge is to prevent failures and security breaches, while ensuring the efficiency of IT systems and making sure their users are satisfied.
That is why it is so important to have access to the world’s latest technical tools and methodologies, so as to verify the quality of software in use. This was also the topic of the keynote speech by Pawel Bielecki, from Soflab Technologies. The attendees had the opportunity, to take a look at modern applications for managing the development and verification of software quality, as well as for testing their performance. Adam Sandman, from Inflectra Corporation, and Henrik Rexed, from Neotys, devoted their presentations to these aspects, while Malgorzata Czerwinska, from Soflab Technology, presented the best practices and new trends in methodologies used in creating IT solutions for large companies. Another interesting speech was Piotr Ryder’s and Karol Mioduszewski’s presentation, showing the practical application of know-how and tools, for implementing IT tests in a Polish bank.
Behind the scenes, the conference participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences with the speakers and representatives of other companies and industries. Everyone agrees, that such an exchange of views and presentation of the latest solutions on the market for software testing, contributed to the rise of many new ideas that will definitely lead to higher-quality IT solutions in Poland.
