The First BM3 Training

From 12th to 15th of February, “The First BM3 Training Seminar” organized by Being Corporation was held in Tokyo.

The leading theme of the seminar was the use of a BM3 system in Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM ) and Theory Of Constraint (TOC).

The seminar was attended by consultants and project managers from the USA, Canada, Western Europe and Japan, sharing their extensive experience in the implementation of the CCPM. The Soflab Technology representatives took part in the seminar in order to understand better the practical possibilities of applying the CCPM methodology and BM3 system, both for its use in carried out projects and with the intention of spreading CCPM in Poland.

Consultants participating in the seminar were convinced of the rightness of the fundamental assumptions, which distinguish the CCPM from other methods of project management. These include: planning the allocation of resources without multi-tasking, time buffer management at the level of the entire project and not at the level of individual tasks, daily reporting the time required to complete the current tasks, which supports sustainable management of project schedule at the stage of implementation.

Participants had the opportunity to meet people who have successfully used BM3 in their projects. The CCPM methodology was used more widely in hundreds of projects from different industries in the USA and Japan, for instance, in designing a new car model for the Mazda company (marketing success and designed in 1 year model MX-5), whether in designing the Boeing 777 or a popular military vehicle HMMWV (Humvee ®).
